How to remove dry skin on my nose?

i recently got my septum pierced (about 2 weeks ago) and i have been cleaning it daily with salt water. since then my nose has become very dry and it peels (but before i pierced it i had this problem). i can't stop cleaning my piercing or it may become infected. does anyone have any tips/methods on how to stop the dryness and peeling? also how to prevent flaking when i put foundation on would be great too. thanks (:
