How to get rid of ur face peeling from sunburn?

Hi.I went swimming nd the next thing i know my face starts to peel.This is really werird because i never had my face peeling before.So now on my face it has patches of new skin.This is really odd because my face is dark with patches of ligher colored skin.So how i get rid of my face peeling and its damages.i WANT TO GOT SWIMING but i dont want my face to peel again.So any satragies that will help prevent peeling on face? And Like the patches.???:( please help.
